Abrasive Paper Products
Lapmaster offers a complete line of abrasive Discs, Rolls and Belts for Metallographic sample preparation. These products are excellent for coarse or fine grinding of Metallographic specimens and are available in silicon carbide (SIC), zirconia alumina (ZA), and aluminum oxide (ALOX)

- The silicon carbide, zirconia alumina, and aluminum oxide discs feature premium graded silicon carbide bonded to a sturdy "C" weight backing. This premium graded silicon carbide allows high cutting rates, yet produces consistent and uniform finishes. The high performance resin bonding system permits wet or dry operation allowing for longer paper life. These Discs are available either:
- Plain Back.
- Water Resistant, pressure-sensitive adhesive backing.
- In general, you will find that:
- Zirconia alumina discs offer even longer life and higher cutting rates for tougher high volume applications
- Aluminum oxide discs are a good option for general purpose applications
- The Rolls are manufactured using the same high quality material as the Discs. These Rolls are available in 3" and 3-7/16" widths by 75' lengths.
The Belts feature premium graded silicon carbide abrasive bonded to an "X" weight cotton backing. These Belts can be used both in wet or dry applications and are available in 7 different grit sizes.
